About Birchwood Web Design
Birchwood Web Design was founded in 2002 by Webmaster Beth Sobiloff. The company serves mostly small business owners on the South Shore, Boston and Cape Cod areas, but has customers across the globe.
Focus is placed on educating clients to get the most from their online marketing budgets, and to guide them through the technical mumbo-jumbo of URLs, domain names, servers, hosting, domain registration, search engine optimization, and a plethora of other terms that confuse most consumers.
Beth Sobiloff, Owner
Beth has been working with computers in professional settings
for over thirty years, since her graduation from Smith College in 1972. Her
artistic flair was developed through professional cake decorating, until she
went back to school and received her Webmaster Certificate from Clark University.
In addition, Beth has owned a restaurant, and played viola semi-professionally
for many years.
An avid reader and lover of knowledge, Beth has studied the
success tactics of such well-known entrepreneurs as Robert G. Allen, Mark
Victor Hanson, Brian Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, Jay Conrad Levinson and Ted Nicholas.
After growing up in Ohio, Beth moved to the Boston area to
pursue her education and her dreams. She has three wonderful children, five grandchildren, a cat,
and a dog! Both of Beth's sons are Eagle Scouts, and she was a scout leader with the troops for 13 years.
Here's Beth, flanked by famous authors Mark
Victor Hansen ("Chicken Soup for the Soul")
on the left and Robert
G. Allen ("Multiple Streams of Income") on the right. Hansen and
Allen co-authored "One Minute Millionaire". Beth met them at a conference
in Orlando.
Beth has spoken on the topic of optimizing websites for the search engines for such organizations as the South Shore Women's Business Network and the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts.
She is an Assistant Director with BNI, Southeastern MA and RI. She is a past president of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Parents' Association.
